Akku Partner Program: Auto BCC (Chrome Extension)

Last updated: 23 July 2026

This privacy policy describes how the Akku Partner Program – Auto BCC Chrome extension (“the extension”) handles data. It applies only to this extension and is separate from the general CloudNow Technologies website privacy policy.

Summary

  • The extension adds a fixed, pre-configured BCC address to outgoing Gmail messages so the organisation retains an internal record of the email.
  • It reads the Gmail compose window’s page content only to locate and populate the BCC field.
  • It does not read, store, or transmit email content, subject lines, recipients, contacts, attachments, or credentials.
  • It makes no external network requests — nothing is sent to CloudNow Technologies or to any third-party server.
  • The BCC address is a fixed value built into the extension; it is not personal data, is not derived from the user, and nothing the extension touches leaves the browser.
  • No data is collected, stored, sold, shared, or used for analytics or advertising.

Permissions and why they are needed

  • Host access to mail.google.com — required so the extension can detect the Gmail compose window and add the BCC address to it. This access is used for that single purpose only.

The extension requests no other permissions and uses no cookies, tracking, or local/remote storage.

Changes to this policy

If the extension’s data practices ever change, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, and the change will be communicated rather than applied silently.
